Stories about the beginning of the world are called origin myths. These myths show the values of the culture that tells them. Two examples of this story are, “How the World was Made” from the Cheyenne of North America and “In the Beginning” from the Hebrew Bible. In the Cheyenne story, the creator, Maheo, can make four things by himself, but needs help to make the earth. ADD EXAMPLES HERE. This shows us that the Cheyenne value BLANK and BLANK.
