Example of Origin Myth Paragraph. Use your own words!!

Stories about the beginning of the world are called origin myths. These myths show the values of the culture that tells them. Two examples of this story are, “How the World was Made” from the Cheyenne of North America and “In the Beginning” from the Hebrew Bible. In the Cheyenne story, the creator, Maheo, can make four things by himself, but needs help to make the earth. ADD EXAMPLES HERE. This shows us that the Cheyenne value BLANK and BLANK.  In the Hebrew story, God needs no help. He creates everything himself. He also gives humans responsibilities and rules to follow. ADD EXAMPLES HERE.  This shows that the Hebrews value BLANK AND BLANK. While these stories have many similarities, their differences show us the values of that culture.
